What can I connect XREAL Beam to?
Between the wireless and wired options XREAL Beam offers, you can connect to pretty much every mobile phone, gaming console and personal computer. Please make sure you use the XREAL cables for wired connections.

How is XREAL Adapter different from XREAL Beam?
The XREAL Adapter supports only the Air Casting (i.e. simple mirroring) mode. The XREAL Beam provides three different Spatial Display modes. In terms of connectivity, the XREAL Adapter only supports wired connection, whereas XREAL Beam supports both wireless and wired.

When should I use wireless connection and when should I use the cable?
While most mobile phones and PCs offer wireless connectivity, most gaming consoles don't. In addition, wired connection has some additional benefits, such as support for DRM streaming and reduced latency.
